Holiday in Spain on the Costa Blanca south.

The Costa Blanca (Spanish for white coast) is located in the southeast of Spain between the villages Denia and Pilar de la Horadada and has a coastline of 244 kilometers with many sandy beaches. The name Costa Blanca was coined in 1957 by the airline BEA (British European Airways) which then started flying between London and Valencia. From the air you can see the many white beaches and it was also a good commercial slogan. The coast is also called white because of the exuberant almond cultivation (trees with pink white blossom) in the past.

Costa Blanca splits in two at Alicante. Under Alicante one speaks of the Costa Blanca South.

The south of the Costa Blanca has the added value of offering 'an environment with one of the most perfect climates in the world'. These words come directly from the assessment of the World Health Organization. More than 300 days a year the sun shines here. There is little rain and the average temperature is around twenty degrees. The mountains around the city of Crevillente together with the valley of the Vega Baja offer a perfect microclimate, which guarantees a relaxed and healthy life.
